What Everybody Should Know about the Best Slow Songs of all Time

Let’s face it, even though there are so many music genres to choose from and people seem to have different tastes in what to listen to, slow songs will always have a market.  True that there are the so called rockers who like their music a bit rough, loud and rebellious sounding while others prefer dance and techno, there will always be the sentimental bunch who loves the appeal of soft tunes.  Somehow, slow music hits the heart of the broken hearted or those who are in love in ways that no other genre could.  Just like other types of music, not all senti music is created equal.  Here are some of the best slow songs of all time that would surely tug on the heart of the listener.

I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing is a rock ballad by the famous Aerosmith.  Made even more popular by the film Armageddon as it was the film’s soundtrack, it became the number one song on the Billboard Hot 100 for four straight weeks from September 5 to 26 during 1998.  It also became the number 1 hit song in other countries such as the United Kingdom.  It is in fact the highest charting song of Aerosmith up this very day.

The material girl, Madonna also had a couple of ballads including Crazy for You which was the theme song of the 1985 film, Vision Quest.  It is one of her best slow songs and is still being sung by countless other singers up to this day.  Of course, nothing beats the original and this 80s song was part of Madonna’s Immaculate Collection album in 1990 and celebration in 2009.  It is and will always be among the most famous head over heels in love songs ever written and sung.

Careless Whisper, a 1984 hit by George Michael who is formerly a member of Wham, was released by Epic Records in a number of countries.  It was the singer’s first solo single and was made famous by his smooth voice and of course, the saxophone riff.  It has been covered by countless other singers but none of them could seem to beat the original version by George Michael.  It was the number one song in 25 countries and sold 6 million copies throughout the globe.  It is definitely worthy to be called one of the best slow songs of all time.
