consumer bankruptcy purchasing and servicing, balance transfer
credit card programs and prepaid card programs. Join our company in the position of Database Developer. In
this position you will work with Database Administrators to ensure
the planning, implementation, maintenance of the database system,
and database tuning. The Database Developer will be responsible for
developing user applications. The successful candidate will be
responsible for supporting the SQL Server and Oracle databases and
ensuring their performance, availability, reliability, scalability
and security. Responsibilities
include: Ensuring availability and
performance of the databases that support production and reporting
systems
Work to ensure high availability of key database
resources
Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure uptime
and security
Troubleshooting of poor running code and configuration of
system parameters
Teaching non DBA resources on best practices for coding
and tuning with SQL Server
Coding and working on development teams to
deliver userfriendly applications and solutions Requirements for this
position are: Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, MIS, Math or technical field required 2-5 years
experience working with relational database systems 1-3 years of SQL
Server experience is required
Experience with SQL 2000 and 2005 required,
2008 a plus
Experience with Oracle v9.x and above desired Experience
identifying and proposing solutions to performance problems
required
Experience writing stored procedures is highly
preferred
Database design/Data Modeling experience preferred Experience with
Data Warehousing is a plus
Experience with VB Script and SAS
preferred
Ability to translate data output to easily readable
tables and figures
Strong ability to analyze problems in a logical and
systematic manner
