Today Im writing about a casino I played at a while back called Amber Coast Casino. I came across this site via many of the casino comparison sites and sometimes the only way to find out whether or not a casino is any good is by playing at it.
My first impression was that the website was well designed and that it looked professional with the various tabs and links to page that showed the banking options and the FAQ etc being well set out and easy to find, at some casinos it is very difficult to find the links that you are looking for.
The software provider for the games at Amber Coast Casino is Playtech. I have played at Playtech casinos in the past and the game play is always enjoyable and well designed, in my opinion it is the best software for online gaming.
So I deposited money and then I had a bonus credited to my account immediately. In my opinion this is not a good thing because many of these bonuses come with wagering requirements that are hard to meet and once you start playing you are tied in to meet these wagering requirements before you can cash out.
I have played at different casinos where the bonus is not deposited instantly, you have to request it via a special bonus code. This is a better system as many people that are new to online gaming will take the bonus without understanding that they will have to meet wagering requirements to cash out their money.
This brings me to the next issue, the customer support, because I have been stung in the past by unwanted casino bonuses I contacted the customer support with a view to removing this bonus. I contact them via the instant chat and it took five minutes of sitting waiting before I got an answer. Even after they initially answered me there was a two minute pause between every answer that they gave me, this definitely isnt good enough.
As I said higher up the game play is from Playtech so I expected the games to be of high quality and I was not disappointed. After a winning streak at the virtual roulette wheel I decided that it was time to walk away and I withdrew my money. They then sent me an email saying that my withdrawal would be classed as pending for four days and only when this time had passed would they process my withdrawal. They did say that I could put the money back into my playing account at any time though. How convenient, they do this in the hope you will put it back into your account and lose it. This pending period meant that the withdrawal would take 6-7 days to reach my Moneybookers account which is nowhere near good enough.
There is potential at Amber Coast Casino, they have the basis for something good in the Playtech software but because of the delayed withdrawal times and the sloppy customer support I do not recommend them as there are casinos that offer a much better service.
