Summer is finally here (well, to some of us at least) and that means fun parties! Parties can be a great way to have fun during the warm weather. They also let the kids have fun during their break in school Enjoy a few of our summer party suggestions below.
Costume Party – Costume parties are fun for children and adults. Host a themed party, such as a 50’s party with poodle skirt costumes. Poodle skirts work great for costume parties because the poodle skirts come in sizes for every age. You can also have costumes be the theme, and have people show up in whatever costume they would like.
Grill up some grub by having a BBQ party in your backyard. You can serve great BBQ food, including hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, watermelon. Top it off with some ice cold lemonade.
What better way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo than by hosting a fiesta party. Have fun with bright colors, sombreros, and fun activities such as playing pinata. Here are some good fiesta recipes for the menu, courtesy of foodnetwork.com.
Cool off by having a pool party. Pool parties are the perfect soiree for the summer. Order pizza, provide water guns, and have popsicles for dessert.
Block Party – Bring the neighborhood together for a neighborhood block party. Section off a part of the street and bring out recliner chairs for a fun neighborhood potluck. Send around sign up sheets for different foods people can bring.
Outdoor carnival – This can be a very fun party idea, especially for kids. Set up booths with face painting and other fun crafts for kids to do. Be sure to have plenty of sweet candy, cotton candy, popcorn, and a lot of water.
Luau – Have your guests come to a party in their favorite printed Hawaiian shirts. Decorate with tropical accents, bamboo, and Hawaiian accessories. Implement pineapple chicken or ham, rice, and a variety of fruits and vegetables.
